Women in healthcare continue to make significant contributions across clinical care, research, education, and public health. Yet many encounter unique leadership challenges, including visibility barriers, unconscious bias, unequal access to opportunities, and complex workplace dynamics.
This add-on half-day intensive, held prior to “From clinician to leader” is designed to complement the core leadership programme by providing a dedicated space to explore the realities of leadership as a woman in healthcare.
This session combines practical tools, facilitated discussion, and real-world case studies to help participants lead authentically and effectively in healthcare environments.
Objectives:
This session explores key leadership challenges and opportunities for women in science and healthcare. Through insights from an experienced ESCMID female leader, participants will gain practical strategies for navigating workplace biases, strengthening their leadership presence, communicating a compelling vision, and negotiating effectively in leadership roles.
