Interactive course on sexually transmitted infections

The course would focus on the issue of sexually transmitted infections (STIs). The current topic of STIs deserves increasing attention. In the context of comprehensive patient care by all medical specialisations of medicine. Prevention of STIs, such as PrEP, PEP, and DoxyPEP, vaccination is essential. Proper treatment is just as important. Following this course, the 11th Czech Congress on HIV/AIDS with international participation would take place. This congress is the largest Czech event focused on the issues of HIV and other STIs.

Intended audience: 

The course is open to ID and CM professionals, dermatovenerologists, epidemiologists, and professionals and technicians working on STI prevention in non-profit non-governmental organisations.

Objectives:

  • Apply current evidence-based recommendations for the prevention and treatment of sexually transmitted infections.
  • Integrate modern prevention strategies, including PrEP, PEP, DoxyPEP, and vaccination, into clinical and public health practice.
  • Recognise emerging trends and challenges in STI epidemiology and management, and adapt recommended practices accordingly.
  • Enhance collaboration between clinical, laboratory, public health, and community-based services to improve STI prevention and care.

The ESCMID office will apply for EACCME accreditation. 
Each participant can only receive the number of credits according to actual participation in the event and upon completion of the feedback survey.
