Update on Endocarditis and Endovascular Infections

Event Description

ESCMID Foundation Course:

This course is targeted at microbiologists and infectious disease specialists who seek updated knowledge on the theoretical and practical aspects of current and advanced diagnosis and management of endocarditis and endovascular infections. The aim is to enhance participants’ understanding of diagnosis, treatment, infection control, improve practices, and prepare for the future. The course will use the features of Humanitas University Simulation Center (https://www.hunimed.eu/simulation-center/) which will allow us to simulate cases or simulate discussion in a team (i.e. Endocarditis team)

Intended audience:

Graduate and Postgraduate Students, Infectious Diseases and Internal Medicine Specialists, Clinical Microbiologists, Cardiologists.

Objectives:

• Diagnosis and treatment of endocarditis and endovascular infection
• Learning the basis of cooperation between multidisciplinary team

Accreditation:

The ESCMID Education team will apply for accreditation to the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME®).

   Each participant can only receive the number of credits according to actual participation in the event and upon completion of the feedback survey.

Certification:

Course organisers will monitor attendance. Only participants attending live sessions will be able to receive the certification.
