The postgraduate course program covers a range of viral infections commonly encountered in the critical patients, most particularly in the intensive care units, including viro-sepsis, influenza, COVID-19, Adenovirus, Dengue, Hantavirus, Human Metapneumovirus, Respiratory Syncytial Virus, Human Parainfluenza Viruses, and reactivating agents like Cytomegalovirus, Herpes Simplex Virus, and Epstein-Barr virus.
Intended audience:
Physicians, researchers, and healthcare providers specializing in critical care, infectious diseases, and clinical microbiology.
Objectives:
The course will provide insights into the pathophysiology, immunology, diagnosis, and treatment of these viral infections, as well as discuss pharmacokinetics of antiviral therapy and infection control strategies in the ICU setting.
